The five-door Civic hatchback will reportedly only be offered with the 174-hp 1.5L turbocharged engine. Si and Type R versions of the hatchback are also in the works.

Honda will likely release more specs about the 2017 Civic Hatchback later this month, when the prototype has its North American debut at the 2016 New York Auto Show. The Civic Hatchback is scheduled to go on sale later this year.
