2017 BMW 230i and M240i debut with upgraded engines

BMW has unveiled the updated 2017 2 Series lineup, which includes the new 230i and M240i models, that replace the old 228i and M235i models.

BMW has unveiled the updated 2017 2 Series lineup, which includes the new 230i and M240i models, that replace the old 228i and M235i models. As the updated names suggest, both versions get updated and more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines.

The 230i Coupe and BMW 230i Convertible are powered by a 4-cylinder 2.0 liter engine that generates 248 hp and 258 lb-ft. The new BMW M240i Coupe and BMW M240i Convertible are powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder engine that generates 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the added power, the M240i can reach 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor.

The 2017 230i and M240i models will arrive this summer.
