When the new A4 goes on sale in the U.S., it will launch initially with the choice of two engines, a 2.0L TFSI gasoline four-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. The A4 will also finally be available with a diesel engine, which will be a 2.0L turbocharged engine with 190 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and initially only quattro all-wheel-drive will be available. Front-wheel-drive versions will be offered later.

Some of the other upgrades include three-zone auto climate control, the latest version of Audi’s MMI control interface that can be accessed either via a 7.0-inch or 8.3-inch screen, a navigation with Google Earth view and the Audi Virtual Cockpit that includes a 12.3-inch configurable screen in the instrument cluster.

After the A4 arrives, we can expect other versions, like the S4 and maybe even the return of the RS4.
