Mazda has revealed the updates to the 2017.5 Mazda6. The biggest changes are the addition of leather seats and a power driver’s seat for the Touring Premium Package and standard Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
In addition to the leather seats on the Mazda6 Touring, the base Mazda6 Sport also gets a few trim updates. The addition of the Blind Sport Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert adds to the long list of safety features on the Mazda6, which already has the Smart City Brake Support, which can automatically apply the brakes if you don’t.
The base Mazda6 Sport comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth seats surfaces, power windows and keyless entry, electronic parking brake and a backup camera. The mid-level Mazda6 Touring adds 19-inch wheels and leatherette-upholstered seats, Advanced Keyless Entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear HVAC vents, a 6-way power driver’s seat, Smart City Brake Support, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
Available Mazda6 Touring packages include the BOSE/Moonroof/Satellite Radio Package and the Touring Premium Package. The Touring Premium Package includes LED daytime running lights, LED headlights, Adaptive Front-lighting system, heated side mirrors and an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror. It also includes black or Parchment-colored leather seats and an 8-way power driver’s seat.
The top spec Mazda6 Grand Touring adds an Active Driving Display head-up unit, LED interior lighting, LED fog lights, an LED signature grille surround, driver’s memory seat, 6-way power passenger seat, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, dark-painted alloy wheels, rear lip spoiler, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Control and Smart Brake Support.
The GT Premium Package adds Mazda’s i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, Nappa leather seats, and a unique steering wheel.
Pricing for the 2017.5 Mazda6 stays the same as the 2017 Mazda, with pricing starting at $22,820. The fully loaded 2017.5 Mazda6 Grand Touring with the GT Premium Package is priced at $34,070 with the destination fees included.
