Subaru has announced the pricing for the 2016 Forester, which now starts at $23,245 for the Forester 2.5i after the destination fee. The 2016 Forester is getting some small updates, like the availability of Subaru’s Starlink safety system and steering-responsive fog lights.
The 2016 Forester 2.5i is powered by a 170-horsepower 2.5L four-cylinder boxer engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or CVT transmission. If you want more power, the Forester 2.0XT starts at $30,045 and is powered by a 250-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder. The 2.5L is rated at 24/ 32 mpg when equipped with the CVT.

The 2016 Forester Premium, Limited and Touring trims now feature the new Subaru Starlink Safety and Security features. Two Starlink packages are available and are among the most affordable in the industry. The Starlink Safety Plus package includes SOS Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Maintenance Notifications, Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Diagnostic Alerts. The Starlink Safety Plus & Security Plus Package adds Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service, Vehicle Security Alarm Notification, Remote Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn and Lights and Remote Vehicle Locator.
