The Scion iA is Scion’s first ever sedan. To some buyers outside the U.S. the iA may look a little familiar, since Scion tapped Mazda’s Mazda2 for the basis of the iA. The iA is powered by a 106-hp 1.5L four-cylinder that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Scion estimates that it will get up to 42 mpg on the highway.

The Scion iA will only come in one trim level, which comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry with push start and a low-speed Pre-collision system that uses lasers and cameras to help the driver avoid collisions and to help minimize damage in the event of an accident. A rear view back-up camera is also standard. Pricing for the iA will start in the $16,000 range.

The Scion iM should also look familiar to buyers in Europe, since it’s basically a rebadged Toyota Auris with a few sporty styling bits thrown in. The iM gives Scion a sportier five-door hatchback than the boxy xB. It’s powered by a 137-hp 1.8L engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or CVT transmission. It comes standard with a backup camera, LED daytime running lights and taillights, a 7-inch display audio system and a 4.2-inch color TFT multi-information display. Pricing for the iM is expected to start under $20,000.
