Lexus has just revealed its latest high-performance F model – the 2016 GS F, which is going to have its world debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show. With 467 horsepower on tap, the GS F will go head-to-head with other high-performance sedans, like the BMW M5.
The 2016 GS F is powered by the same 5.0L V8 as the RC F. It generates 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft. of torque. Lexus says that the engine uses both Otto and Atkinson combustion cycles to maximize power and efficiency in given situations. The naturally-aspirated V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
