The all-new 2016 Hyundai Tucson crossover is slated to start arriving in showrooms this month with a new more expressive exterior, two engine options and a bigger interior.
The 2016 Tucson continues Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language that debuted with the 2015 Genesis, which gives it a more sculpted body, while its face is dominated by a large hexagonal-shaped grille. The Tucson’s wheelbase has been stretched by more than an inch, giving it a larger interior and a smoother ride. It’s also 3-inches longer and 1.1-inches wider than the outgoing model.

Under the hood you’ll find two engine options: a 164-hp 2.0L four-cylinder that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission or a 175-hp 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder that is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0L FWD model is rated at 23/31, while the 1.6L Eco FWD model is rated at 26/33 mpg and the Sport/ Limited 2.0L FWD models are rated at 25/30 mpg.
Inside the 2016 Tucson offers ventilated seats, a power liftgate, Apple Siri Eyes Free integration and an available 405-watt audio system. To keep you safe, the 2016 Tucson is available with the latest safety tech, like pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Backup Warning Sensors and a standard rearview camera.
Pricing for the 2016 Tucson starts at $23,595, while the top-spec Limited 1.6L AWD model is priced at $32,195
