2016 Honda Pilot specs released before it arrives this summer

Honda unveiled the all-new 2016 Pilot earlier this year in Chicago, but Honda didn’t release all the specific details about the third-generation Pilot. Honda has now released all the details about the 2016 Pilot, with the exception of the pricing ahead of its arrival this summer.

2016 Honda Pilot Elite

The 2016 Pilot is powered by a new 3.5L V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. of torque. Buyers can choose between a new six-speed automatic or Honda’s first nine-speed automatic. If you need all-wheel-drive, the 2016 Pilot offers a new Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4™) AWD System and all-new selectable Intelligent Traction Management system featuring Normal, Mud, Sand, and Snow modes.

The 2016 Pilot will be available in several trim levels: LX, EX, EX with Honda Sensing, EX-L, EX-L with Honda Sensing, Touring and Elite. The new Elite trim comes with a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, LED headlights with auto high-beam and rain sensing windshield wipers.

The available Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver assistive technologies brings available features that include Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist System6 with Lane Departure Warning7 and Adaptive Cruise Control.
