2016 Honda Pilot gets Top Safety Pick+ rating

Honda has announced that the all-new 2016 Pilot SUV has received the highest safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. When it’s equipped with the optional Honda Sensing front crash prevention technology, the 2016 Pilot has a Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Honda has announced that the all-new 2016 Pilot SUV has received the highest safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. When it’s equipped with the optional Honda Sensing front crash prevention technology, the 2016 Pilot has a Top Safety Pick+ rating.
In order to get the top rating from the IIHS a vehicle has to get a top score of “Good” in five IIHS crash test modes including the Insurance Institute’s small overlap frontal crash test. The 2015 op Safety Pick+ designation is awarded to vehicles that also have an available front crash prevention system that earns an advanced or superior rating from the Institute.

Available on Pilot EX trims and above, Honda Sensing can help improve drivers’ situational awareness with its various systems, which include the Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Road Departure Mitigation.
