Earlier this year Honda unveiled its new HR-V crossover at the New York Auto Show. Well almost, since Honda only showed a few photos of the small crossover. Honda is now going to officially unwrap the 2016 HR-V at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
The HR-V is smaller than the CR-V and is built on the same platform as the Honda Fit. The HR-V also borrows the Fit’s unique fuel tank layout and the Magic Seat, which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space.

Honda has not announced what will power the HR-V, but it’s expected that it will be powered by the same 130-hp 1.5L four-cylinder as the Fit. Honda is also reportedly looking at the idea of offering a turbocharged engine in the small crossover, but now decision has been announced. The HR-V is expected to go on sale early next year.
