2016 Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac models get new safety tech

GM has announced that several 2016 Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac models will offer 22 different active safety technologies.

GM has announced that several 2016 Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac models will offer 22 different active safety technologies. The available technology ranges from new driver alerts to systems that automatically intervene and assist the driver in some situations.
Some of the new crash-avoidance technologies include: City Speed Front Automatic Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, a Rear Camera Mirror, Night Vision and a Curb View Camera.

GM hasn’t announced all the models that will get the new technology, but the 2016 Malibu will get the Front Pedestrian Braking that can automatically stop the car if a pedestrian is detected in front of the vehicle. The 2016 Chevy Spark will also be available with Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert.
