Audi has unveiled the third-generation Audi TT Roadster, which is going to debut next month at the Paris Motor Show.
As expected the TT Roadster looks almost identical to the coupe, but features a power folding soft top that comes in black, titanium gray or jive. Audi says that the new top only weighs 86 pounds, which is 6.6 pounds lighter than the last model. It also only takes 10 seconds to open or close and you can do it at speeds up to 31 mph. Another great thing is that when the top is lowered it doesn’t encroach on the 9.9 cubic feet of trunk space, since the top is stowed in an aluminum tray above the cargo compartment.

The TT Roadster will be powered by the same powertrains as the coupe, which means the base model is powered by a 2.0L TFSI four-cylinder engine with 227 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. The TTS is powered by a more powerful 2.0L engine with 310 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. In Europe buyers can also choose a 184-horsepower 2.0-liter TDI turbodiesel engine. Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
