2015 VW e-Golf Nabs Title as Most Efficient Compact EV

The 2015 VW e-Golf electric car has received an EPA rating of 126 MPGe city and 105 highway rating with a combined rating of 116 Miles per Gallon of Gasoline Equivalent (MPGe).

The 2015 VW e-Golf electric car has received an EPA rating of 126 MPGe city and 105 highway rating with a combined rating of 116 Miles per Gallon of Gasoline Equivalent (MPGe). It also has a range of up to 83 miles and compared to other compact electric vehicles, the e-Golf is the most efficient car in its compact class.
The 2015 e-Golf can be recharged in less than four hours with a 240-volt outlet and it comes standard with a standard Combined Charging System which allows the car to use the SAE standard DC fast charging infrastructure, bringing the battery’s state of charge to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.

The e-Golf is only offered in one trim level (SEL Premium) and comes standard with a 7.2kW onboard charger, touchscreen navigation system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and LED headlights. Pricing starts at $36,265 before any tax credits are applied.
