The first batch of 2015 Four Door MINI Coopers have started rolling off the assembly line at MINI’s plant in Oxford. The new four-door model is the second member of the all-new MINI family, following the introduction of the hatchback earlier this year.
The 2015 MINI Cooper Four Door is 6.3-inches longer than the standard MINI Cooper. The rear seats can fit up to three passengers and compared to the standard model, the four door has 1.5-inches more legroom in the back.
The MINI Cooper Four Door will be powered by the same engine lineup as the standard model, which means in the U.S. buyers can choose between either the 134-hp three-cylinder or the more powerful 189-hp 2.0L four-cylinder.
MINI says that when the MINI Cooper Four Door arrives early next year, it will only be priced about $1,000 more than the standard model.
