Lincoln has officially unveiled the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC SUV, which is the second model that is part of Lincoln’s reinvention. If you liked the MKC concept that was unveiled earlier this year in Detroit, you’ll be happy to know that not much has changed on the production model.

The 2015 MKC is based on the same platform as the Ford Escape, but is more than just a rebadged Escape. The MKC features many design cues that are similar to the MKZ sedan, which in some ways work much better on the MKC. Under the hood the 2015 MKC will be powered by the same engine 240-hp 2.0L turbocharged EcoBoost engine as the Escape. But if you’re looking for more power, the MKC also introduces a new 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque. This same 2.3L engine is also expected to be offered in the all-new Mustang.

The MKC will also be offered with a host of safety features like collision warning with brake support, a Lane-Keeping System and driver assist to help drivers avoid common accidents. MKC introduces available park-out assist technology, a class-exclusive feature that enhances the vehicle’s active park assist capabilities. Where active park assist helps guide drivers into tight parallel parking situations, park-out assist steers drivers out of tight parking spots.
