Kia has released the pricing for the 2015 Kia Soul EV, which will start at $33,700 before any federal or state tax credits are applied.
Kia has released the pricing for the 2015 Kia Soul EV, which will start at $33,700 before any federal or state tax credits are applied. Kia has also announced an introductory lease price for the Soul EV, which is set at $249 a month for 36 months.
The Soul EV will be offered in two trim levels: Base and Plus. The Soul EV base comes standard with navigation, rear camera, Bluetooth and a 6.6kW on-board charger. The Soul EV Plus starts at $35,700 and adds leather seats, heated and cooled front passenger seats and heated rear seats. It also adds projection-style fog lamps and power-folding outside mirrors.

Kia estimates that the Soul EV will have a driving range of 93 miles. Charging times can take from 24 hours for a fully depleted battery using a standard 120-volt outlet and under five hours when plugged into a 240-volt outlet. An 80-percent charge can be achieved in as little as 33 minutes with a 50 kW-output charger.
