2015 Hyundai Sonata Revealed in South Korea

Hyundai has unveiled the all-new 2015 Sonata at an event in South Korea. The 2015 Sonata is now longer and wider than the outgoing model and is wrapped in the latest version of Hyundai’s design language, Fluidic Sculpture 2.0.

From the front the 2015 Sonata’s face is dominated by a large hexagonal grille, like the 2015 Genesis. The swoopy lines from the last Sonata are gone and are now replaced by more conservative lines, that make the new Sonata look a bit more refined and toned down.

In South Korea, the 2015 Sonata will be offered with a choice of three four-cylinder engines that range in size from 2.0 to 2.4 liters with 151 horsepower up to 193. The engines are mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Hyundai has yet to confirm what engines will be offered in the U.S., but that announcement is only a few weeks away at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
