Hyundai has released this single photo of the all-new 2015 Sonata, which is going to debut later this month in Korea ahead of its U.S. debut at the New York Auto Show next month.
The 2015 Sonata will be the second model to adopt Hyundai’s “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0” design language, following the introduction of the new Genesis. Compared to the current Sonata, the 2015 Sonata will look a bit more refined. Hyundai says that the design keyword for the 2015 Sonata is “Inner Force,” and that the Sonata is “”reborn with an evolved aesthetic force that stems from purpose and sophistication.”
Back in 2009 when the current Sonata was introduced, the Sonata signaled the beginning of a new Hyundai that would forever ditch its “budget” image. By 2012 annual sales of the Sonata nearly doubled and now Hyundai is hoping for another big hit with the 2015 Sonata.
To further improve the Sonata, Hyundai has given the Sonata improved quality, better fuel efficiency and a more sophisticated exterior.
“The all-new Sonata has evolved again, based on Hyundai Motor’s world-class technologies, and it will play an important role in further facilitating our shift from quantitative growth to qualitative growth,” said Jeong Gil Park, head of the Hyundai Motor Group’s Engineering Design Division.
