While the 2015 Focus ST is expected to get a similar facelift as the rest of the Focus lineup, we’ve also learned that Ford is going to release a new diesel version of the Focus ST.
Although Ford unveiled the revised 2015 Ford Focus at the Geneva Motor Show this week, the automaker failed to reveal the updated Focus ST. While the 2015 Focus ST is expected to get a similar facelift as the rest of the Focus lineup, we’ve also learned that Ford is going to release a new diesel version of the Focus ST.
Following the kick off the Geneva Motor Show, Ford’s COO Mark Fields held a dinner in Geneva where he revealed that Ford is set to release a Focus ST diesel this summer. Powered by a 2.0L TDCi engine with 182 horsepower, the Focus ST diesel will go head to head with the VW Golf GTD.
It’s not known if the Focus ST diesel will be offered in the U.S. like the VW Golf GTD, but maybe if the GTD does well here, Ford will decided to bring it here.
