Dealers are now able to start ordering the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 and now we’ve learned that the starting price will increase slightly to $26,515.
Ford originally unveiled the 2015 F-150 at the Detroit Auto Show in January, with the biggest news being its new aluminum body. The aluminum body saves weight, but as expected it’s also more costly to use, which is why the F-150 lineup is getting a price hike. The base XL and XLT models will only see a price increase of $395 over the current model, with the XL starting at $26,515 and the XLT starting at $31,890. The Lariat model gets a price increase of $895, bringing its starting price to $39,880. The two highest priced models also get the highest price increases with the King Ranch F-150 rising $3,615 to $49,460 and the Platinum version rising $3,055 to $52,155

Although it’s believed that the aluminum is partly to blame for the price increases, Ford claims that it is due to more standard features across all five trim levels of the F-150 and not the greater cost of aluminum.
