2015 Ford F-150 Fuel Economy Specs Released, Gets Up to 26 MPG

Ford has now revealed that the 2015 F-150 gets up to 26 mpg with the new 2.7L EcoBoost engine – making it the most fuel efficient full size gasoline-powered pickup.

Ever since Ford revealed the new lighter 2015 F-150 one of the bigger discussions has been around what that would mean for its fuel economy specs. Ford has now revealed that the 2015 F-150 gets up to 26 mpg with the new 2.7L EcoBoost engine – making it the most fuel efficient full size gasoline-powered pickup.
The F-150 4×2 with the 325-hp 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine is rated at 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. That is 5 percent to 29 percent better than current F-150 models. If you choose the 282-hp 3.5L V6 it’s rated at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, while the 385-hp 5.0L V8 is rated at 15 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. Lastly the 365-hp 3.5L EcoBoost is rated at 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.

The weight savings not only improves the F-150’s fuel efficiency, since the new F-150 now tows as much as 1,100 more pounds and hauls as much as 530 pounds more than today’s model with a 5 percent to 16 percent better power-to-weight ratio.
