Dodge has announced that the 2015 Dodge Viper is getting a $15,000 price cut, which brings its starting price down to $84,995 before the destination fee and taxes are applied.
It’s been widely reported that sales of the current Viper haven’t met expectations, which also explains why Dodge is even applying the price cut to the existing 2014 models that have yet to find homes.
For 2015 the Viper gets a small five horsepower improvement with its 8.4L V10 now generating 645 horsepower. A new GT model has been added that will sit between the base Viper and the GTS trim level. The GT trim adds Nappa leather seats with Alcantara inserts, Alcantara accents on the doors and IP, ‘Viper’ badged aluminum sill plates, two-mode suspension, ‘GTS’ hood and two-piece StopTech slotted rotors.
The TA package also returns as the TA 2.0 Special Edition and there are three new colors: Y’Orange, Stryker Orange and Stryker Purple.
