Chevy has just announced that it is bringing a new version of the 2015 Corvette to the New York Auto Show later this month. Chevy announced that the Corvette Z06 and C7.R models will also be at the show, but what will the “new variant of the seventh-generation Corvette” be?
Last year it was reported that a new cheaper version of the Corvette Stingray was in the works for the 2015 model year. Motor Trend stated that the cheaper Corvette would simply be called the 2015 Corvette Coupe and that it would be powered by a 5.3L V8 instead of the Stingray’s 6.2L V8.

We’ll have to wait and see if the reports are accurate, but if it a Corvette Coupe does debut that means that the 2015 Corvette Coupe could start below $50,000. Great news for Corvette fans…
