Both pickups are powered by a standard 200-hp 2.5L four-cylinder engine, while a 305-hp 3.6L V6 is optional. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but a six-speed automatic is an option.
Buyers can choose between extended cab and crew cab body configurations with five or six-foot bed.

The Colorado LT crew cab with 2WD and the 5-foot box has a starting price of $27,985. The Colorado Z71 crew cab 4×4 with the 5-foot box starts at $34,990.
The Canyon SLE extended cab 2WD starts at $27,520 and a 3.6L 4WD Canyon SLT crew cab short box model starts at $37,875.
