GM has announced the fuel economy specs for the four-cylinder powered 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups. The 200-hp 2.5L four-cylinder engine with 2WD and the 6-speed automatic transmission is rated at 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.
If you choose 4WD the four-cylinder is rated at 19 mpg and 25 mpg, while the six-speed manual, which is only available with 2WD is rated at 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.

To compare, the four-cylinder Toyota Tacoma 2WD is rated at 21/25 and the Nissan Frontier four-cylinder is rated at 19/23 mpg.
GM has also announced that for the 2016 model year, the Colorado and Canyon will add a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel to the engine lineup.
