GM has announced the pricing for the 2014 Chevy SS, which starts at $44,470. The 2014 Chevy SS comes fully loaded with the only options being a sunroof ($900) and a full-size spare tire ($500).

It comes standard with HID headlights, parking assist, Chevy MyLink with a navigation system, Bose audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, rear-vision camera and Side Blind Zone Alert and Lane Departure Warning.
The rear-wheel-drive Chevy SS is powered by a LS3 6.2L small-block V-8 with 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough to accelerate the SS from 0-60 mph in about five seconds.
The SS will be available in five exterior colors – Mystic Green, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot 2, Phantom Black Metallic and Heron White. There will only be one color for the interior – Jet Black.
“The all-new SS is engineered for performance enthusiasts who’ve been clamoring for a rear-wheel-drive sedan,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “Adding the SS to the lineup further solidifies Chevrolet’s position as America’s best-selling performance-car brand that also includes the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray and Camaro Z/28.”
The 2014 SS will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2013.
