The production version of the i3 looks almost identical to the concept version. The big differences are a new bumpers, revised headlights and conventional doors with smaller rear doors that open rearward for better access to the rear seats. The i3 will be powered by a 170 horsepower electric motor and a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery. The i3 will have a range up to 100 miles, while the available two-cylinder range extender engine will increase its total range to around 180 miles.
