The 2014 BMW 740Ld xDrive is powered by a 3.0L six-cylinder diesel engine with 255 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW expects it to be between 25-30 percent more fuel efficient than its 3.0L gas engine.
The BMW 740Ld xDrive will be unveiled next month at the Chicago Auto Show and will start at $83,425.
