2014 BMW 4 Series Production Kicks Off This Summer

A leaked chart for the 2014 BMW 4 Series reveals that production will kick off this summer for the coupe and in November for the convertible.

BMW has yet to unveil the production version of the 2014 4 Series concept that debuted in Detroit. While we wait for the official debut of the 4 Series coupe and convertible, we’ve learned that production will kick off this summer. A leaked chart shows that the BMW 4 Series will be offered in 428i and 435i versions.

Production of the 4 Series Coupe will start in July in Munich, while production of the 4 Series Convertible will kick off in Regensburg, Germany in November. The 428i models will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft. of torque, while the 435i models get a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque. Want even more sport, BMW is going to offer an S trim. The 4 Series coupe is available with rear or all-wheel-drive, while the convertible is only available with rear-wheel-drive.
