Acura has announced the updates to the 2014 Acura ILX, which gets more standard features for the new model year. It’s been widely reported that the ILX has failed to meet Acura’s initial sales expectations, so hopefully the new features will help.
The 2014 ILX gets upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels, while the interior receives new leather seating surfaces and leatherette door liners, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, new audio-system subwoofer and an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system.
The ILX is available with two four-cylinder engines in addition to a hybrid powertrain. The 2014 ILX comes standard with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower. Paired with a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission, it has rated at 24/35 mpg. If you want more power you can choose the 2.01-hp 2.4L that is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
