VW has announced the pricing for the 2013 VW Beetle Fender Edition, which starts at $24,440. The Beetle Fender Edition is unique inside and out. From the outside, the car is distinguished by Deep Black Pearl Metallic paint, brushed chrome mirrors, Fender badging on the sides of the car, 18-inch “Disc” aluminum-alloy wheels, and Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights. Inside, the dashboard incorporates the Fender badge and was inspired by the iconic Fender sunburst design. The Turbo models also have sport seats upholstered in V-Tex leatherette with unique cloth inserts.
The 2013 Beetle Fender Edition also gets a Fender Premium Audio System. The sound system consists of a 10-channel amplifier that provides 400 watts of system power to four Fender Deluxe tweeters, two Fender Twin speakers, two Fender rear speakers, and one Fender Bassman subwoofer.
The Beetle Fender Edition is available with two powertrains: the 170-horsepower 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission; and the turbocharged 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that’s paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 2.5L Beetle FenderĀ® Edition includes all the features found on the 2.5L Beetle with Sunroof model, while the 2.0T Beetle FenderĀ® Edition takes the Beetle Turbo with Sunroof and Sound as its starting point. The 2.5L is priced at $24,440 with the manual transmission and $25,540 with the automatic. The Turbo models start at $28,130 for the manual version and $29,200 for the DSG-equipped model.
