Ram Truck has unveiled the 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks, which now feature best-in-class towing and best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating.
Ram Truck has unveiled the 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks, which now feature best-in-class towing and best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating. The trucks also get an all-new interior, new suspension, frames and more features.

For 2013, Ram Heavy Duty trucks feature new frames built with high-strength 50 KSI steel, including eight separate cross-members, hydroformed main rails and fully boxed rear rails for optimal strength and mass efficiency. A new conventional trailer hitch system is upgraded to Class 5 with a 17,000-lb. load capability and 1,800 pounds of tongue weight for use with 2-inch or 2.5-inch receiver hitches.
Buyers can choose between a 383 horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8, and three versions of the 6.7L Cummins diesel with 350-hp, 370-hp or 385-hp. The top 6.7L diesel in the Ram 3500 packs 385 horsepower and 850 lb-ft. of torque.

The 2013 Ram Heavy Duty gets an all-new interior with the next generation 8.4-inch Uconnect system with background screens tailor-made to specific Ram models and themes. The Uconnect system provides Ram truck owners with a built-in wireless connection allowing vehicle occupants to automatically connect to a variety of new services.
