2013 Nissan Versa Sedan Now Gets Up To 40 MPG

Nissan has announced the pricing and updates to the 2013 Nissan Versa sedan, which now gets up to 40 MPG on the highway.

Nissan has announced the pricing and updates to the 2013 Nissan Versa sedan. The 2013 Nissan Versa sedan continues to be the lowest priced car in the U.S. with a starting price at $11,990. Nissan has also tweaked the CVT equipped models to give the sedan a 40 MPG rating on the highway.

The Nissan Versa sedan is powered by a 109 horsepower, 1.6L four-cylinder engine and the engine can be mated to either a 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic or CVT. Models equipped with the CVT are now rated at 40 MPG, which is a 2 MPG improvement over the 2012 model. Helping to achieve the two extra miles per gallon are new low-rolling resistance tires, new air intake guide, new rear spoiler and rear wheel and underbody air deflectors.

Fuel economy is rated at 31 mpg City, 40 mpg Highway and 35 mpg Combined with the CVT transmission; 27/36/30 mpg with the 5-speed manual transmission; and 26/35/30 mpg with the 4-speed automatic transmission.
