Kia is set to debut the third member of its new cee’d family, the all-new 2013 pro_cee’d three-door hatchback, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show later this month. The pro-cee’d builds upon the five-door that was unveiled earlier this year, but adds more “Sport” being added to the equation.
Kia hasn’t announced the official specs for the new hatchback, but it’s expected to be powered by the same engine lineup as the other cee’d models, including the 128-horsepower 1.6L and 1.6L diesel engines. It’s rumored that Kia is working on a GTI rival, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
“This car embodies emotion and energy through and through,” explains Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer. “You know from a single glance that this is a car you want to drive, not just own. Kia is on a distinctive design adventure and the all new pro-cee’d spearheads this forward looking journey.”
