The news keeps coming in about the updates to the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Last week we saw the first official pics of the revised 2013 Genesis Coupe and now we’ve learned what updates lie under the hood.

The 2013 Genesis Coupe is going to get a new 3.8L Lambda V6, which packs 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque, which is 43 more horsepower and 29 lb-ft. more than the current V6. This also means that the Genesis Coupe packs more power than the V6s in the Challenger (305HP), Mustang (305HP) and Camaro (323HP).

The V6 is not the only engine getting updates, the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder will put out 275 horsepower, which is up from 210 horsepower in the current Genesis. Both engines will can be mated to either a six-speed manual or Hyundai’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.
