Ford has unveiled the 2013 Ford Mondeo (Europe’s version of the Fusion) at an event in Amsterdam, which will be available as a sedan, five-door hatchback and wagon in Europe.
The all-new Mondeo is built on Ford’s global CD-segment platform. In addition to the three different bodystyles, the 2013 Mondeo will also be Ford’s first full hybrid electric car for the European market. A diesel all-wheel-drive variant will also be made available for the first time in addition to the new 1.0L three-cylinder EcoBoost engine.
“The new Mondeo will change perceptions of Ford large cars by offering an unbeatable blend of premium design, craftsmanship and smart technology without the premium price,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president of Global Product Development.
