2013 Chevy Spark Mini Car Starts at $12,995

Chevy has announced the pricing for its new minicar, the 2013 Chevy Spark, which starts at $12,995. The Spark will now be the smallest model in Chevy’s lineup. The five-door hatchback carries up to four passengers and is designed primarily for first-time car buyers and city dwellers.

“With the Spark Chevrolet has the opportunity to connect with a new generation of car buyers who expect more from every product they purchase,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Global Marketing. “So we wanted to make the process of choosing a Spark as simple as possible by reducing the number of stand-alone options and providing more standard content to each trim level at a competitive price.”

The Spark is powered by a 85 horsepower 1.2L four-cylinder engine. It comes with standard features like including, 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, power windows, rear window wiper, auxiliary input jack and an outside temperature display. The Spark 1LT model starts at $14,495 and adds power door locks, cruise control, a 7-inch color touch radio with Chevrolet MyLink, Bluetooth, steering wheel audio controls, a USB port and Sirius XM Radio. The Spark 2LT model starts at $15,795 and gets unique 15-inch wheels, fog lamps, leatherette seats, heated front seats and exterior appearance enhancements.

A 4-speed automatic transmission is available for an extra $925. the 2013 Spark will go on sale later this year.
