The all-new 2013 Cadillac ATS has just been named the 2012 Esquire Car of the Year, by the editors of the men’s fashion and culture magazine. “The new ATS is Cadillac’s spirited challenger, built to take on the world,” says Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac Marketing. “Having its design and performance validated in this fashion is a meaningful step in our journey.”
“It’s been heartening to watch the American auto industry re-assert itself over the last couple of years,” says David Granger, editor-in-chief of Esquire. “The ATS is an exciting new chapter in that process–a balls to the wall effort at reinvention. It’s fantastic.”
The 2013 Cadillac ATS is finally starting to arrive in dealerships. It starts at $33,990 for the base model that is powered by a 200-hp 2.5L four-cylinder engine. The mid-level ATS is powered by a 270-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine and starts at $35,795, while the top 320-horsepower 3.6L V6 model starts at $42,090.
