BMW has announced the pricing for the 2013 BMW X3, which starts at $39,395 for the X3 xDrive28i and $44,495 for the X3 xDrive35i. This represents an increase of $1,400 and $900 respectively.

The 2013 X3 xDrive28i is ditching the non-turbo inline six-cylinder in the current X3 for the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder as the 528i and the new 328i. The 2.0L packs 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. BMW estimates that the X3 xDrive28i will reach 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and have an electronically governed top speed of 130 mph. The X3 xDrive35i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0L inline-six cylinder with 300 horsepower.

Both the X3 xDrive28i and X3 xDrive35i will come standard with Auto Start/Stop that turns off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop, providing up to a 3% improvement in fuel economy.
