2013 Audi Q5 Officially Unveiled and Introduces Audi's First Hybrid

At your first glance you probably won’t notice that Audi has updated the 2013 Audi Q5. The styling updates to the exterior and interior of the 2013 Q5 are very minimal, but what now lies under the hood is definitely more exciting.

At your first glance you probably won’t notice that Audi has updated the 2013 Audi Q5. The styling updates to the exterior and interior of the 2013 Q5 are very minimal, but what now lies under the hood is definitely more exciting.

Audi is going to offer three diesel and two gasoline engine options, in addition to the a hybrid system in the 2013 Q5. Unfortunately not all of the engines will be offered in the U.S. The diesel options are two 2.0L TDI engines and a more powerful 245-hp 3.0L TDI. The gasoline options are a 225-hp 2.0L four-cylinder and a new supercharged 272-hp 3.0L TFSI V6.

The Q5 hybrid quattro is powered by a 2.0L TFSI four-cylinder that is mated to an electric motor and an eight-speed transmission. The system has a combined output of 245-hp and 354 lb-ft. of torque. The Q5 hybrid quattro reaches 0-62 mph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of almost 140 mph. It can drive in full electric mode for up to 1.86 miles at a constant speed of 37 mph and has a combined fuel economy rating of 34 mpg.

Audi hasn’t announced the pricing for the 2013 Q5 in the U.S., but in Europe its price has only gone up 150 Euros.
