The 2013 Acura TL starts at $35,905
The 2013 Acura TL has received the top-level rating of GOOD in the new Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) small overlap frontal barrier crash test. The new IIHS small overlap frontal barrier crash test is designed to simulate a collision between a vehicle traveling 40 miles per hour and a fixed object, such as a utility pole, where only 25 percent of the vehicle’s front structure is engaged by the opposing object. Acura can be happy since the TL was one of only two vehicles to achieve the highest rating of “Good” among a group of 11 models that were the first to be tested under the new crash test protocol.
The 2013 Acura TL is offered with either front-wheel-drive in the TL and all-wheel-drive in the TL SF-AWD model. The fron-wheel-drive TL is powered by a 3.5L V6 with 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft. of torque. The all-wheel-drive version is powered by a 3.7L V6 with 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. Both models come standard with a six-speed automatic, but the TL SH-AWD is available with a six-speed manual.
