2012 Scion iQ Officially Starts at $15,995

Toyota has officially announced the pricing and more details about the upcoming 2012 Scion iQ. Scion’s newest model, the small iQ starts at $15,995 and will start arriving at west coast Scion dealers this October. The Scion iQ will be available in other regions of the country beginning in early 2012.

The 2012 Scion iQ is powered by a 1.3L four-cylinder with 94 horsepower and 89 lb-ft. of torque. The 1.3L is mated to a CVT transmission and has a 37 mpg combined rating.

At only 120 inches long the Scion iQ will be perfect for tight parking spots in urban cities. The Scion iQ features a unique 3+1 seating layout and 11 standard airbags, including the world’s first rear window airbag.

“The iQ is the fourth vehicle in the family, and it will define the premium micro-subcompact segment as the choice for new urbanites who want clever transportation without a sacrifice in style or new features.”

Yesterday Toyota announce that the upcoming electric-powered Scion iQ will only be available to fleet customers and car sharing programs.
