Chrysler unveiled the all-new 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year. It’s powered by a new 6.4L HEMI V8 that has an estimated 465 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Allpar has apparently come across reports that detail all of the features that we can expect on the 2012 Charger SRT8. 2012_dodge_charger_srt8_new.jpg

On the outside the 2012 Charger SRT8 is going to get acoustic solar control glass, HID headlights a funcional hood scoop and a capless fuel filler. On the inside there will be luxury features like dual zone humidity-sensing automatic climate control, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, heated/cooled front cup holders, LED interior lighting, ventilated front seats and a 19-speaker 900 watt audio system.

The Charger SRT8 will also have tech features like knock back mitigation, which prepares the brakes for faster use based on lateral g-forces. The suspension will have a two-mode active dampening system that automatically adjusts the suspension to specific conditions. The driver can also manually choose between “Sport” and “Auto” settings. Adaptive cruise control and forward collision mitigation is also expected to be offered.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 will be released later this year.
