Motor Trend is currently hanging out at the Hyundai/Kia testing facility, in Mojave, California testing 17 new cars to see which one will take the title this year as the “2009 Motor Trend Car of the Year.”
Motor Trend is quick to point out that this is not a comparison test and is only open to all-new or substantially upgraded vehicles that have gone on sale in the 12 months from November 1, 2007. Motor Trend also does not test vehicles that have been on sale for the past five years.
Each contender is judged in three areas: Superiority, Significance and Value.
