2009 Lexus RX350 Spy Photos…The Popular SUV Will Not Get Radical Changes

Lexus’ best-selling SUV is due for a redesign for the 2009 model year. Spy photographers have caught a test mule of the SUV that looks pretty much the same as the current generation. Upon closer examination it is apparent that this is not the current version of the RX350.

There are quite a few differences on this SUV compared to the current generation. For one the light colored stripe ahead of the front doors hides the fact that the front end has been lengthened. The ends of the bumpers have been modified and covered with tape. The lower parts of the rear doors are also covered in tape. Additionally the rear taillights do not fit flush with the body.

It is rumored that the next RX350 will grow slightly longer and wider. Although the vehicle will be all new, the styling isn’t expected to veer much from the current design.

The RX will also retain its current 5-passenger seating capacity, since Lexus offers other SUVs with three rows of seating.
