Toyota has unveiled the new 2008 Highlander and Hybrid at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. The new Highlander is larger than the old version.
It looks better than the current generation, but it’s still boring. The front end looks like the Subaru Forester.
There will no longer be a 4-cyl option either. Instead all non-hybrid versions will use the new 3.5l engine with 270 horsepower, that is in other Toyota products.
One cool thing is that all versions, with the exception of the base
model will have a backup camera that is not tied to the navigation system. The suv will also come with 19inch wheels on the Sport and Limited models.
The new suv will be out in July with the hybrid coming later.
