2008 Porsche 911 GT2 Spy Photos…The Ultimate Porsche?!

Spy Photographer Brenda Priddy has caught the upcoming 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 undergoing testing. This new version of the 911 will feature at least 525 horsepower and 540 lb.-ft. of torque.

The GT2 is basically a 911 Turbo that has more power, reduced weight (220 pounds) and the all-wheel-drive deleted. The car also has a bigger rear wing, a simplified front bumper, and huge gills on the rear bumper.

The new GT2 should easily beat the top speed of the Turbo, but since it doesn’t have the added traction benefit of awd, it may not beat the Turbo’s 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds.

Either way the new car is awesome!
