Nissan has yet to unveil the all-new 2018 Nissan Leaf, but it will debut soon. Leading up to its reveal, Nissan has already revealed the new Leaf’s headlights and now Nissan has announced that the 2018 Leaf will get a new self-driving ProPILOT Assist system.
The 2018 Nissan Leaf will be unveiled in September
The ProPILOT Assist system is a semi-autonomous system that can control acceleration, braking and steering during single-lane driving on the highway. The system in the 2018 Leaf is only the stepping stone, since in the new future the ProPILOT technology will offer increasing levels of autonomy, with the system eventually able to navigate city intersections.

What else do we know about the 2018 Nissan Leaf? Nissan is going to reportedly offer two different battery options a smaller 40kWh and a larger 60kWh lithium-ion option that could have a driving range over 300 miles. The 2018 Leaf is going to debut in early September before it has its world debut later that month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
