Mercedes-Benz pickup might be called the X-Class

Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal its new pickup, but a new report claims that it might be called the X-Class.

According to a source that spoke with CarAdvice, Mercedes-Benz is narrowing down a list of possible names for its new pickup, with Z-Class also being an option. The new pickup will be based on the Nissan NP300 platform, which is also used for the Frontier in the US. The Mercedes-Benz pickup also will only be offered in four-door double-cab form.

Mercedes-Benz has yet to confirm if the new pickup will be offered in the US. Also don’t expect an AMG version of the new pickup.
